Anthropic announced two new international offices in late May 2026, opening in Seoul (announced May 26) and Milan (announced May 27) within the same week.
For Korea, the company named KiYoung Choi as Representative Director ahead of the Seoul office's formal launch. Choi previously served as Country Manager of Snowflake Korea and held leadership roles at Google Cloud, Adobe, Autodesk, and Microsoft in Korea. Anthropic's March 2026 Economic Index found Claude usage in South Korea running more than 3.5 times higher than the country's population would predict, concentrated in technical R&D and creative work.
The Milan office, Anthropic's second in Europe after London, is intended to serve Italian enterprise, research, and developer communities across manufacturing, fashion, financial services, and the public sector.
The two openings bring Anthropic's international presence to six offices outside the United States, alongside London, Tokyo, Bengaluru, and Singapore.
