Anthropic has rolled out Dreams, a background pipeline that re-reads an agent's past sessions and reorganizes its long-term memory — merging duplicate entries, replacing stale facts, and surfacing higher-order insights the agent can act on later.

Dreams runs offline between sessions and treats memory the way a human brain consolidates experience during sleep. Instead of an append-only log of facts, the agent now wakes up with a curated, deduplicated knowledge base.

In parallel, Anthropic doubled Claude Code rate limits for paid tiers thanks to a fresh capacity deal with SpaceX, easing the throttling complaints that had been piling up from heavy users.
