Google's Gemini app launched Daily Brief, a feature that proactively surfaces priorities in a digestible to-do list. It is now available to Plus, Pro, and Ultra subscribers 18+ in the U.S.

Announced at the I/O 2026 keynote, Daily Brief is a personalized morning digest that pulls from a user's inbox, calendar, and task list to deliver a prioritized overview of the day ahead. It does not merely summarize — it suggests next steps and surfaces the most pressing items first. Once opted in, Gemini works across connected apps in the background, compiling urgent updates from Gmail, tracking upcoming events from Calendar, and gathering relevant follow-up details into a skimmable briefing.

The launch is part of a larger Gemini overhaul at I/O 2026, alongside a Neural Expressive redesign and a cloud-based agent called Spark. With 900 million monthly users, Gemini is repositioning as a proactive assistant rather than a reactive chatbot.
