Meta is reportedly developing a wearable AI pendant, built on the technology from its Limitless acquisition. A leaked internal memo teased the device alongside an expanded lineup of AI glasses and a new subscription offering.
The pendant represents Meta's push to put AI hardware on the body beyond the face, capturing audio and context throughout the day to power an always-available assistant. It builds directly on the Limitless team's work on ambient recording and recall.
The memo also outlined a Wearables for Work subscription aimed at reviving Reality Labs, Meta's long-struggling hardware division. The enterprise-focused tier would bundle the company's wearables with productivity-oriented AI features.
The move signals that the wearable AI race is intensifying, with Meta joining a growing field of companies betting that ambient, always-on devices are the next major computing platform after the smartphone.
