Microsoft is building a new super app that will unite GitHub Copilot, Copilot chat, Cowork, and an agentic tool codenamed Autopilot into a single interface. The consolidation aims to end the fragmentation of Microsoft's sprawling Copilot lineup.
The app is slated for an end-of-summer launch and adds a personal-to-enterprise toggle, letting users switch between consumer and work contexts within the same experience.
By folding its coding assistant, conversational AI, and agentic tooling into one place, Microsoft is following the broader industry trend toward unified AI interfaces rather than scattered point products.
The Autopilot agentic component is the most notable addition, suggesting Microsoft wants the super app to not just answer questions but autonomously carry out multi-step tasks across a user's tools.
