OpenAI announced on June 11 that enterprise customers can now access its frontier AI models and Codex through their existing Oracle Universal Credits on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. The partnership lets companies with multi-year Oracle cloud commitments route AI workloads to OpenAI without creating a new purchasing path.

The integration is aimed at large enterprises that already have significant Oracle cloud investments, often running into hundreds of millions of dollars. By allowing these commitments to cover OpenAI usage, both companies are lowering the procurement barrier for AI adoption in traditionally cautious enterprise environments.

With OpenAI models, teams can build AI applications, analyze complex information, automate workflows, and create new customer and employee experiences. The move also strengthens Oracle's position in the AI infrastructure market, where it has been investing heavily — the company spent $55.7 billion on data centers in its most recent fiscal year and plans to raise $40 billion more.

Availability will roll out in the coming weeks. Companies should contact their Oracle sales representative for specific timing and eligibility details.
