Anthropic has closed a $65 billion Series H funding round at a post-money valuation of roughly $965 billion, in what could be the company's final private raise before a long-anticipated public offering. The round briefly makes Anthropic one of the most valuable startups in the world.
The financing was co-led by Altimeter Capital, Dragoneer, Greenoaks, Sequoia Capital, Capital Group, Coatue, and D1 Capital Partners, among others. The investor group reflects continued appetite among large funds for exposure to frontier AI labs.
Anthropic said its run-rate revenue crossed $47 billion earlier in the month, underscoring the rapid commercial growth that has accompanied enterprise adoption of its Claude models.
The raise positions Anthropic alongside OpenAI at the top of the private AI market and intensifies the capital arms race over compute, data centers, and research talent.
